SATELLITE DISH INSTALLATION

Satellite dish installation allows access to a wider range of channels than an aerial, with Sky and Freesat popular choices. We can supply and fit satellite dishes for Sky HD, Sky Q, Freesat and many foreign satellite providers too.

In Buxton and the surrounding areas most homes recieve Freview from a local transmitter which carries only 20-30 channels. Freesat is available without subscription and carries around 120 channels including all those available on a local transmitter. The various Sky options offer many more channels but with monthly charges.

So if you need Freesat in Buxton, Freesat in Chapel or Freesat in Whaley bridge call Mike on 07891 041999.

We also supply complete Freesat systems including the new Freesat HD recorder and the standalone Manhatten Freesat reciever. Or if you prefer we can supply Freesat TVs of various sizes that don’t require a box or reciever, just a dish connection.

FAQs

Where should a satellite dish be installed?

In a position with a clear line of sight to the South East.

Can I install a dish myself?

It’s possible but rarely provides reliable performance unless a professional satellite meter displaying signal strength, carrier-to-noise ratio and the number of errors, across many different frequencies is used.

What is an LNB?

A low noise block down converter (LNB) amplifies the signal, lowers the frequency and sends a block (part) of the signal to the receiver.

Do trees affect satellite signal?

Yes, they can block or weaken the signal.

How long does installation take?

Usually 1 to 2 hours.

Will you set up my channels?

Yes, full setup is included.
